Terms of Service

These terms set out the conditions for using kromise. How we handle the data you entrust to us is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms one agreement with these terms.

Last revised 2026-10-26

1. Scope

These terms apply to your use of kromise and related services provided by JUGOYA.AI (“we”, “us”). By starting to use the service you agree to them.

In these terms, the Privacy Policy and our other documents, “your registered email address” means, until account registration is available, the email address you gave us when you applied to use the service.

2. The current stage of the service

kromise is a service still in development. Commercial availability, pricing and any availability guarantee are all undecided. Please use it on the understanding that features may change and that the service may stop being offered.

If you use it in production, please do so only after making sure your operations would not stop if the data you entrusted to us were lost.

3. Who may use kromise

kromise is a service for businesses in Japan.

We do not accept use involving the data of individuals located in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA). We do not offer a data processing agreement under Article 28 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If we learn of such use, we may ask you to stop using the service.

4. Managing accounts and keys

There are two kinds of key; one must be kept secret and the other need not be.

  • The write key (the public key contained in a DSN) — it is expected to ship inside your application and is not a secret. On its own it cannot read any stored data.
  • The read token — a secret. It can read the telemetry data you entrusted to us (the data the SDK built into your application sends: errors, performance measurements, sessions, logs and the like; the same below), so if it leaks, contact kromise@jugoya.ai immediately.

You are responsible for managing your keys. Any operation performed with a key is treated as an operation performed by you.

5. Data you must not send

kromise is a general-purpose platform for collecting telemetry data, and it is not designed to handle data that requires special rules. Please do not send anything that includes:

  • special care-required personal information as defined by Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (medical history, criminal record, race, creed and the like);
  • My Number (Individual Number) and specific personal information;
  • credit card numbers, bank account details, passwords and access tokens.

Configuring your side so that these are not sent is your responsibility. The SDK has a mechanism for modifying what is sent. If you notice that such data has reached us, contact kromise@jugoya.ai and we will delete it.

6. Usage limits

Each project has a ceiling on the number of events accepted per day and on the size of each event. Anything sent beyond a ceiling is not accepted, and the SDK is told so. We may adjust the ceilings without notice.

7. Prohibited conduct

  • conduct that breaks the law or offends public order and morals;
  • sending to, or attempting to read from, another customer's project;
  • interfering with the operation of the service, or placing an excessive load on it;
  • reselling the service without our permission.

If we judge that any of these applies, we may suspend your use without prior notice.

8. Interruption and termination

We may interrupt all or part of the service for maintenance, incident response or other unavoidable reasons.

You may stop using the service at any time. When you tell us you are leaving, we will export the data we hold for you and then delete it. To do so, contact kromise@jugoya.ai.

9. Disclaimer

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, that all data sent will be recorded, or that records will not be lost. As set out in the sections above, kromise is currently a service in development.

Except where caused by our intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for damage arising in connection with your use of the service.

10. How we handle the data you entrust to us

For the telemetry data you entrust to us, we act as a party entrusted with handling them (an entrusted party) within the meaning of Article 27(5)(i) of Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

We use the data only to receive, store and display it, to send the notifications you have configured, and for the incident response, abuse detection and usage metering these require. We do not use them to compile statistics, to improve our own products or services, or as training data for machine learning.

The scope of the data we hold, where it is stored, how long it is kept, and the sub-processors we use are set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms one agreement with these terms.

11. Transfer of the business

If we transfer the business of kromise to a third party, we may transfer to the acquirer our contractual position under these terms, our rights and obligations under them, and the data we hold for you. You agree in advance to a transfer under this section.

Before any such transfer, we will notify your registered email address of it and of the acquirer’s name. The acquirer will handle the data within the scope set out in these terms and the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms in accordance with Article 548-4 of the Civil Code of Japan.

When we do, we will set out that the terms are changing, the new content and the date the change takes effect, and announce it on this page at least 14 days before that date. We will also notify your registered email address.

If you use kromise on or after the effective date, you are deemed to have agreed to the changed terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of Japan. Any dispute relating to the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
